  1. Search for Doctors of a particular branch on Google for clinics and hospitals nearby.
  2. Check his ratings & reviews given by his patients. Call your Doctor & try to speak to him. The way he speaks to you can give you some idea about his professionalism & humility.
  3. Pick a clinic nearby, know about the doctor’s qualification - MBBS, MD / MS, DM, etc. are recognized degrees in allopathy. Someone with Just fellowships in front of their name with no recognized degree are red flag signs. You have every right to ask for the qualification of doctor and even show certificates when asked. Few quacks may just put degrees but refuse to show certificates.
  4. A Doctor who sees 100 patients a day is a red flag sign. A good doctor would spend enough time listening and explaining you about your condition.
  5. A Good doctor advises you and allows you to make your choices but not impose treatment upon you.
  6. A good doctor will give you balanced advice and explain both the pros and cons of a treatment or surgery and give you the freedom to make a decision. Someone who uses fear tactics and forces you to choose treatment is a red flag sign.
  7. A good doctor will encourage you to take second opinion of another doctor when you are in doubt.
  8. Talk to friends, relatives and previous patients about their experience with doctor and not blindly believe the reviews online.
In case you have a concern or query you can always consult a specialist & get answers to your questions!
